Rapper Hemelbesem at the WAT
The
Afrikaans rapper Simon Witbooi, also known as Hemelbesem, will be the guest at
the Woordpret ("Fun with words") of the Woordeboek van die Afrikaanse
Taal on 26 May. Simon was born in Namakwaland and has released seven albums in
Afrikaans. In 2010 he was the winner in the freestyle category at the
African Hip-hop Indaba Competion.
Wine, juice and snacks will be available form 12:30 and
Hemelbesem's turn is at 13:00. The program will last 45 minutes and will
end before 13:45.
