Dear prospective Matie
We are excited to host you on Saturday 7 May 2022 for the second of three on-campus open days! This event will cover three faculties on Stellenbosch campus – Arts and Social Sciences, Education and Theology.
What makes the Stellenbosch University (SU) Open Day 2022 different from previous open days?

  • Apart from the fact that this will be our first opportunity to host prospective Maties and their parents on campus since our last in-person event in 2020, we have also turned our open day into a three-day event series, combined with an open-day website.
  • The on-campus activities will give prospective Maties a chance to view their faculty buildings, explore exciting topics and get a sense of what studying at SU entails.
  • Our open-day website will remain active until 31 July, when undergraduate study applications close. The site provides answers to any general questions you may have.

Where can I access the programmes for the day?
Faculty programmes can be accessed via this link:

What can I expect on the day?
Please take some time to prepare for your arrival on campus. Keep in mind the following important information:
Covid-19 screening/protocols

  • We encourage guests to arrive at least 15 minutes before their faculty sessions start. This will allow enough time for ticket screening, sanitising, and moving to the venues.
  • Complete the online pre-screening on Quicket before arriving for your session. (It will be an email that you receive 24hours prior to the event.)
  • Please complete the screening for each ticket you have selected. (In this way, we'll be able to keep the event Covid-19-compliant.)
  • Please do not attend your session if you are experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms.
  • We will try to save some seats in the back for late arrivals to minimise disruption.
  • SU Covid protocols require that guests sanitise before/upon entering the venue, wear their masks while indoors, and adhere to social distancing both inside and outside buildings.
